Sadness

I have days when I am so incredibly sad,

I just want to reach you,

see your eyes

if only for a glance to allow me to know

there is beauty and Grace

just beyond my soul.

 

I hope you can smile,

see the beauty in life,

know that all I want for you,

is your happiness

shared with me perhaps,

if the timing were ever right.

 

For now I will let the tears fall,

for every attempt I realize

in an effort to stay away,

even a poem of certain

reason, passion, reminders

of what one life could be

 

I’ll forever be lost in trying to release

the feelings I have, the want for your peace.
